Introduction to PBS

Implementing classroom-wide evidenced-based practices is foundational to classroom management and the groundwork for positive behavior support (Kerr & Nelson, 2010). All students in the classroom will benefit from the universal interventions because they provide students with the structure, rules, and schedule (Laureate Education, 2010). Researching evidence-based behavioral interventions is time consuming to an individual teacher; however, using technology via the formation of a wiki, educators can work together to build a warehouse of strategies, information, and tools to draw from as they seek to meet the emotional or behavioral needs of students in their classrooms. Though a team approach, each teacher will have a plethora of resources to implement and monitor the effectiveness of our strategies. The purpose of this assignment is to collaborate with colleagues to develop a wiki-based resource for evidence-based interventions and positive behavior supports.
